Bandai Namco Entertainment America began streaming a gameplay trailer for its Dark Souls: Remastered game for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on Tuesday. The video previews the game's environments and enemies.
The game's PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC versions will launch on May 25 in North America and Europe and on May 24 in Japan. The Switch version will ship this summer.
The HD remaster will include the main game and the Artorias of the Abyss DLC. Players will be able to build their own characters with many weaponry, armor, magic, and crafting options. Players will be able to team up or fight against each other in groups of up to six people among nine covenants online with dedicated servers.
Bandai Namco Entertainment released the Dark Souls III game in Japan in March 2016, and it launched in North America and Europe for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC in April 2016. The game set Bandai Namco Entertainment's record for most successful day-one sales, and Bandai Namco Entertainment America's record for fastest-selling game.
