Tekken Revolution PS3 Game Ends Service in March
posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
The official website of Bandai Namco Entertainment's Tekken Revolution online fighting game announced on Thursday that the game's service will end on March 20. The sale of in-game items and downloadable content will end earlier on January 19.
Bandai Namco Entertainment (then Namco Bandai Games) launched the game in June 2013 for the PlayStation 3 as the first free-to-play game in its Tekken fighting game series. The game included more maneuvering options and new attacks that were not present in its immediate predecessor, Tekken Tag Tournament 2. The game also allowed players to choose persistent upgrades to the capabilities of characters.
Tekken 7 is the latest game in the series. Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, the updated version of the arcade game, will be the basis for Tekken 7's eventual launch on the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and the PC in the West in early 2017, and in spring 2017 in Japan.
