Otakon to Host Voice Actress/Singer Yui Makino

Maryland anime convention Otakon announced on Wednesday that it will host voice actress and singer Yui Makino at this year's event.
Makino began performing as a child actor at age 3, and debuted as a voice actress in Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE as Sakura in 2005. She debuted as a singer later the same year. Her other roles in anime have included Wish Upon the Pleiades' Hikaru, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches' Meiko, Ushio & Tora's Reiko Hanyū, Hundred's Erica Candle, and Shōnen Maid's Miyako Ōtori. She has also performed theme songs for Tsubasa: RESERVoir CHRoNiCLE, Aria the Animation, and Chaika the Coffin Princess, among other anime.
Otakon will be held at the Baltimore Convention Center from August 12-14. The convention will also host singer MICHI and voice actor Kazutomi Yamamoto.
The Otakon Matsuri street festival will be held on August 11 at Baltimore's West Shore Park. Persona series rapper Lotus Juice and singer Shihoko Hirata, as well as Naruto singer Diana Garnet will perform at Otakon Matsuri.
