Locodol TV Anime's 1st DVD/BD Volume Includes OVA Episode
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The official website for the Futsū no Joshikōsei ga Locodol Yattemita (Locodol) television anime announced the first Blu-ray and DVD will include the 25-minute original video anime episode, "Nagarekawa, Annai Shite Mita" (I Tried to Show You Around Nagarekawa). The volume will also bundle a special event ticket, a manga booklet drawn by original creator Kōtarō Kosugi, an eye catch and ending illustration postcard set, and video bonus extras.
In the story, high school girl Nanako became her town's local idol at the request of her uncle. She and her upperclassman Yukari, a girl who seems perfect but ends up being airheaded, both become idols of their provincial area. They get interviewed (by the town's shopping center), go on television (low-budget cable), and hold concerts (on the roof of the department store). The girls' salaries come from the town's taxes.
Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs in Japan. The first volume's home video release is slated for September 24.
