My Hero Academia Blackboard Art Gives High School Seniors a Super Surprise
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
The students of Shinagawa Etoile Girls' High School in Tokyo were in for a surprise on Wednesday when they found one of the chalkboards was covered in an impressive chalk illustration. The girls found that Kōhei Horikoshi's My Hero Academia characters were depicting from end to end of the chalkboard to promote the premiere of the anime's third season.

#heroaca_a #ヒロアカ pic.twitter.com/SFcVlwV37G

The artwork shows the series' eight major characters, Deku, Bakugo, All Might, Ochaco, Tsuyu, Todoroki, Mineta, and Iida. The blackboard includes the phrase "Let's show our personality, third year high school students!" Other characters also have words of encouragement underneath them. Deku's image includes the statement "Let's surpass our limits again and again!" and All Might says "Spring is here!!"
The students were then greeted by anime producer Wakana Okamura during their homeroom period. Okamura wished them well on their final year in high school and hoped they would "talk to one another without regrets."
The same art was created during a live drawing session in Akihabara over the weekend. Chalkboard artist Mayumi Kawano drew the artwork.
沢山の方が足を止めてくれたり、わざわざいらしてくれたり(;_;)有難うございました(;_;)

Kawano is the same artist that drew the My Hero Academia chalk art at this years' AnimeJapan event.
My Hero Academia's third season premiered in Japan on April 7 and Crunchyroll is streaming the series as it airs while Funimation is simultaneously dubbing the show.
This is not the first surprise anime event to occur at Shinagawa Etoile Girls' High School. The cast of the live-action Ouran High School Host Club film made an unannounced visit with bouquets in hand in 2012.
