Squeeze Your Favorite McDonald's Dessert with Lottery Hug Pillow Prizes
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
In America, McDonald's desserts are limited to the classic baked apple pie in a cardboard sleeve or, if you're feeling adventurous, the same thing in cherry.
In Japan, the fast food conglomerate is willing to test out other options, kind of like how Starbucks rolls out more elaborate Frappuccinos each season for its customers in Japan. It's just the way the cookie crumbles for the rest of us, resigned to pumpkin spice lattes and peppermint mochas.
At any rate, this year McDonald's Japan is bringing out new chocolate pies for its clientele. Dubbed "sankaku Choco Pie Black" and "sankaku Choco Pie White," the pie turnovers are filled with exactly what you'd expect. McDonald's is upping the excitement for the new desserts by launching a Twitter retweet campaign for a chance to win one of 20 pies. The prize confections aren't edible though, they're supersized pillows ready to be squeezed.
From November 3-7, fans can retweet McDonald's status to win one of the pillows. 10 of each kind will be awarded to Japanese residents only.
Other Japan-exclusive McDonald's treats include Dragon Ball Super toys, black Halloween burgers, and pink-tinted burgers in time for spring.
