Shueisha, Kodansha Post Job Listings for 1-Day Manga Editors
posted on by Lynzee Loveridge
Publishers Shueisha and Kodansha are both looking for manga editors to fill in for a single day at two of their most popular magazines, Weekly Shonen Jump and Morning.
The listing for Weekly Shonen Jump is seeking someone to review aspiring manga artist submissions and handle typesetting choices for the magazine's current line-up. Over at Morning, Kodansha needs someone to check artwork drafts and discuss Battle Studies with its creator Kuro Nabika. The latter position would be for October 19.
The day's pay at both magazines is 30,000 yen (US$250). Applicants from all over Japan can give the opportunity a shot. Each publisher will provide transportation costs and even lodging if the chosen applicant lives too far away.
